Oftentimes when you encounter a bug, the error reporting dialog will come up. Please submit these to us. That is the best way to get your problem fixed.

But sometimes you'll encounter other bugs that don't result in an error dialog. If you've encountered a such a bug, you may post about it here. We try to fix every problem posted here, but please follow these guidelines:

1) Please provide a link to the web site you were editing if possible. Or, post the HTML file you were editing as an attachment.

2) You need to provide some information about what you were doing. Ideally you would be able to reproduce the bug (make it happen on command). Simply saying "it freezes" won't get your problem fixed.

3) Please post any details about your system configuration that you think might be related to the problem.

4) Please use a descriptive subject line. "Bug", "Problem", or "This software doesn't work" may result in a closed and/or deleted thread.

2. Just FYI:

• the backticks for comments don't work well and let my entries partially vanish, reducing them to one-character comments :)
• Also, when I use < code > markup within my posts, they show up fine, but get converted into backticks. As a result, when I edit the posts for errors, the code vanishes because of the above problem...
• Third, I see that the < code > markup gets converted into < pre > plus the backticks, and I guess it should be backticks plus < pre > (in that order).
• Fourth (as I just noticed), when I write in the editor "<code< it also gets converted into actual HTML - so my written <code> from above turned into actual < code > and backtick-ed code display :)

Phew, difficult to read if you can't use < or > :)
